Obviously we have all seen business sellers offering less than desirable business for sale or businesses that aren't making enough incomes for the owners.  Just as this is the case, there are also many businesses out there for sale for reasons completed unlinked to profitability.  Business transfer industry statistics have proven, time and time again, that the number one reason a business owner is selling a business is boredom, or the lack of excitement and challenge.  Remember, most business owners, especially those who started their business from scratch, ar entrepreneurs by default.  This means that they love the challenge and excitement of a new venture and strive to make the business reach a certain level of success.  Often times, when this business reaches that level, and subsequently the challenge and excitement are no longer there, the business only requires minor management to keep going successfully, and thus loses its luster to the owner.  The owner then becomes bored and begins to look for new challenges.  This is a great situation for you, the business buyer, to walk into as you are getting a business that has been built to a level where it is successful, and now you can come in and take over the helm allowing the seller the freedom to go out and find that new venture.  It's a win-win situation.
